Riots…

Today I watched a documentary about Ehsan Jafri (who was killed in Gujarat communal riot in 2002). This is one of the most discussed riots in the history of India. This is not the first riot which took place in India, So why so much ho-halla… Why every one is talking about Gujarat riot and not about the other riots which took place in India.
After the independence, India faced many communal riots, perhaps riots being every year. Every time political parties blame once another but can’t gave any solution to stop the riots. Every time secular parties will blame communal parties (this is also some thing which is debatable) and communal parties blame the wrong policy of secular parties.

Let’s look into some of the communal riots which took place in independent India with the ruling party at the time.

The above detail does not include riots on cast system and on due to reservation and above figures are as per government record or nearby actual figures.
From the above list you can see riots have taken place almost during all political party rules.

Riots have taken place before and after 2002 Gujarat riots, but why always people talk about 2002 Gujarat riots. Why every time politicians, a part of media and intellectual discuss only about Gujarat riots and Narendra Modi…why don’t people and media talk about other riots.
Why cant we have such broad discursion about the Godhra killing…after all the Gujarat riots in sense is an out come of that.
There were riots in Gujarat before Narendra Modi during congress rule but no one talk about it and the media is blind over it.
And if you ask some one from congress about the riots during congress rule, they might say those were secular riots (congress always claim that they are secular) and what happen in Gujarat in 2002 was a communal riot (obviously BJP is communal).
After the death of Indira Gandhi, lots of people died due to communal riots in Delhi and mind it, its a general believe that the Sikh riots was supported by some leader of congress.
I never supported any kind of killing what may be the reasons. Ten years have passed since the tragic Gujarat riots, but still almost every day you will find some news and discursion about it.

Look what Narendra Modi has done to Gujarat during BJP rule there. Gujarat is the number one state in India and has the highest rate of growth and Gujarat has done it in spite of a non favorable central government, infect they always tried to pull him down. The credit goes to the people of Gujarat and Narendra Modi for doing such a great job.

For the betterment of future, I think we should stop talking about Gujarat riots and giving judgments. Let the law of India decides what will happen to the culprits of riots.
Instead of taking political mileage out of Gujarat riots and discussing it on different platforms, I think we should try to forget it; after all we are not going to get anything out of it, except pain and communal hatred for each other and will keep us divided.

  1. It is an excellent chronicle of communal riots you have listed here in your blog. Kudos to you. Now on to the larger subject on why Gujarat Riots hold predominance amongst other more brutal and savage riots.

There is not much to define this sentiment. It is simply Anti-Hindu hatred that is being propagated by the close nexus formed between a Christianized Congress, Muslims and the Main Stream Media, otherwise called MSM. Historically, Congress has adhered to communal violence wherever they have lost power with a fanatic intention to revert back to power at any cost whatsoever. In current India, severely polarized by 63 years of Congress rule, the only sentiment that can bring back power is through religious incitations. This is exactly what is happening in Gujarat, MP, Karnataka, Bihar and other BJP dominant states. Congress is particularly vehement at Gujarat because they have never been close to winning over Shri. Narendra Modi in spite of two assembly elections and 3 civil poll elections held post Godhra riots. Shri. Narendra Modi stands their predominant bone of contention. They have neither been able to implicate him in the riots nor have been able to unseat him from power in spite of their wicked and untruthful lies with the help of MSM.

In any communal riot, there has never been a mention or compassion for the lives lost from the Hindus. Take any example and you will be surprised to find that the ratio of death toll is only marginal between the two communities. This is not to assess why but a point to ponder. Apart from the 58 brutally burnt alive in Godhra, the riots took roughly 240 odd lives of Hindus against 800 odd lives of Muslims. This is not a holocaust as is being given to understand to the general public by the several nonsensical and illegitimate NGOs like Testa Setalvad & Co, propagated by Congress and highlighted by MSM.

But merely because Gujarat riots took place when there was substantive print & visual media coverage became the bane of the riots. Godhra got conveniently forgotten or swept under the carpet in the ensuing propaganda. It is simple logic that had the Gujarat riots been an issue of communal hatred instigated by Shri. Narendra Modi and his government, people would have brought him down from power - because we have still the Peoples Power called Democracy. Since he and his government are as innocent as any one of us writing our thoughts here on this white blank screen, the people have continued to elect him and his party back to power. And the magnanimous progress the State has achieved under him is anybody's guess.

There was no bloodier politically sponsored and Congress abetted killings than the 1984 Sikh riots. It was pan nation and not just confined to the precincts of Delhi. Sikhs were hunted down from all across the country by brutal congressmen and killed in broad daylight. Has there been any legal reprieve for the victims ever since. Those congressmen who led the massacre were given ministerial portfolios and positions in appreciation. But did the media show as much vigor and vitality as they do now in the case of Gujarat riots. Nay, they could not because it was Congress initiated who were their indirect paymasters.

Gujarat riots will continue to haunt the nation as long as Congress is alive and will, with the assistance of MSM, further propagate hatred and polarization of the country, if not already.

Even if the country wants to forget and move forward, Congress will not permit it. Parochial communal considerations form the nucleus of Congress sustenance and they will not hesitate to polarize the nation to remain in power!

Pray God save Bharth from these evil clutches.
